'Proud to be gay': K-pop star on coming out to the world

Bain, he adds, has "challenged that silence in a symbolic and powerful way. I believe it marks a major moment".

But he believes fans may have reacted very differently - "it might acquire been explosive" - if a member of a global boyband had reach out as gay.

"Bain's case was significant, but his group isn't as renowned [so] it didn't lead to as much stir domestically," Mr Lim says.

Bain has certainly helped raise consciousness, he agrees. "It's a slow process but we're seeing more public figures speaking up or content being created around these LGBTQ issues."

But any immediate change in K-pop or the entertainment industry is unlikely, according to him.

"It's not just a social issue - it's a market issue. Male idols usually have a much larger female fanbase… [and] if you locate out your favourite male idol is gay, that can shatter the illusion that you could one day be the argue against of his affection," said Min Yong-Jun, a pop culture columnist.

"So if they do [come out] they risk shaking the foundation their fandom is built on.&q

Let's concentrate on the boy band's songs, not sexual orientation

In late May in , a host of a Mexican TV show called BTS members gay, which generated much hate from the fans of the K-pop band that debuted in Midway through , an Australian TV network aired a show where an interviewee implied that there must be a gay one among the seven the face of great uproars, the two TV stations officially apologized. But the thing is that the world does not stop asking whether some BTS members are gay and that still continues _ such questions keep hitting Quora, a social question-and-answer the seven boys do not say us, we cannot realize for sure, and they have never made a clear statement about their people continue to construct guesses, and Suga has been the “usual suspect,” because of his past after the idol group’s debut, it had an interview with a Japanese magazine called Oricon what Suga notices first when he looks at a girl, he said that he focuses on “personality and atmosphere.” The rapper also said that he doesn’t have an perfect type and it’s not limited to a prompted debates about his sexual orientation.

Do you think any of the bts members are part of the lgbtq+ community? I suppose you think vmin are, what makes you assume that? I kinda notice like jimin could be bi while tae queer maybe? And Yoongi could be bi as adequately. Tbh they all kinda give off gay vibes, but I guess it's bc of the cultural difference and bc they are all so shut so they may complete things that seem a lot to many people but not to them so who knows? A lot could be fan service too. But Namjoon and Jin are the ones who definitely donate me straight vibes (Jin a bit less tho). What do you think?

I think there might be members that are LGBT+, but of course that’s just based on how I percieve things. I apologize in advance for this answer being a bit messy As you say there are many things that make such speculation difficult.

Honestly putting definite labels on someone is not something I really want to or believe we can do Sometimes the members do things that might indicate interest in various genders, but that’s still too vague to define a sexuality for me. Unless they say something themselves, I don’t think we can know.

I mean, even assuming someone you know is LGBT+ is gay, pan, bi etc. wi

Hey fellow ARMY&#;s.

There is a quick introduction below (which is a little boring) but I would recognize it if you scan it.

Okay, I want to start off by saying 1) this was not actually my idea, I want to give credit to  for making an article on his notion of BTS&#; sexualities and 2) I am not stating fact, I am just stating my perspective. I am not a man, but I am gay so it does somewhat give me an idea on how juvenile people (BTS in this case) act towards exploring sexuality.

Let&#;s get analysing!

We&#;ll begin with the leader-Rap Monster. The image above might have given you an idea on what I&#;m about to say. In my opinion, you can&#;t get much straighter than Rapmon. He has a sort of straight-pride, if you know what I mean. He keeps to himself and the reality he sings specifically about women (i.e. Expensive Girl) and uses gender-specific pronouns (in this case &#;girl&#;, &#;female&#; or &#;woman&#;) tells you he isn&#;t hinting about sexual fluidity anytime soon. Rapmon keeps to himself and isn&#;t touchy, and doesn&#;t boast a flamboyant nature. We&#;d all love for Rap Monster to get together with Jin, but in actual world it is very unlikely. Many of you may remember when
