Is bucky gay

It’s no private to fans of the MCU, especially those deeply interested in fandom, that Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes is one of the most widespread fan ships of recent years. In fact, a recent survey about shipping with over 17,000 participants has “Stucky” listed as the most popular current ship of any fandom. Of course, shipping is a separate entity outside of canon, and whether or not there is textual evidence in canon for a fan pairing is somewhat irrelevant to popularity. However, the Steve/Bucky ship has been one of those rare gay ships that has crossed over into general consciousness with even large media outlets discussing the connection and the subtext between the two characters in the films.

In the stir of Avengers: Endgame, one of the most controversial moments of the movie was the last scene where Steve Rogers goes to the past to return the Infinity Stones and decides to wait there and marry Peggy Carter instead of returning to the future. The ending, at least for now, of Steve Roger’s story arc in the MCU left many fans unsatisfied for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons fans were upset was because of the lack of resolution to the Steve/Bucky story arc set

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier comes on the heels of Disney’s first-ever MCU series, Wandavision, and the display has been met with pretty mixed reactions in regard to things favor plot, themes, and nature development. As some critics point out, the series seems to struggle to juggle it’s many plotlines, and, even worse, it isstruggling to handle issues of race in a consistent, relevant manner.

There’s much to be written about the handling of Sam Wilson’s character, and it’s troubling that he seems to be becoming more of a secondary nature in a series that should rightfully focus on his journey to becoming Captain America. There are many talented writers of color talking about these issues, including the show’s major missteps with the representation of Asian characters, that have much more to say on the topic than a pale lesbian writer like myself ever could.

But, for me and many other LGBT+ fans, the series is also bringing up another major representation issue across the MCU, and it’s the overall jarring lack of any queer voice. Kevin Fiege has promis

I actually looked it up if Sebastian ever said something like that loud and clear, because I didn’t know. And look what I found:

“Sebastian Stan, who plays Captain America’s best-friend Bucky in the hit films, has spoken to GQ on the matter. He said, “Look, man, I ponder it’s great. Movies are for people to relate to in whatever way they want.” Though the Winter Soldier star said he hasn’t thought of his character in that way, "If someone takes the time to ponder about that, that’s wonderful. I don’t think of the character that way, though. But there’s no right or wrong answer.”

He may not say that he meant to potray Bucky as gay but it’s fact that he doesn’t think there is anything wrong with thinking that Bucky may be a member of the LGBTQ.

Hey, lovely anon.

Hope your date is going well and you aren’t going irrational in this situation of global lockdown and such. I actually looked it up if Sebastian ever said something like that clamorous and clear, because I didn’t know. And stare what I found:

If there are people out there that ship Stucky, that’s fine.

So if you are going in these times and see something you don’t like, don’t arrive for people and exclaim that what they reflect and identify with is just stupid.
