‘P-Valley’ Star J. Alphonse Nicholson Reacts to Fans Accusing Him of Being on the DL

Will Big Teak get in the way of Lil Murda and Uncle Clifford’s future together?

People are still talking about the recent episode of “P-Valley.” On the episode, Lil Murda continued to think about Uncle Clifford. He’s been sending her postcards from every urban area he visits while touring with Keyshawn. And Keyshawn is the only person he’s been confiding in about his feelings. As their friendship continues to grow, Murda’s longtime comrade Big Teak is also around. He was recently released from prison. While that hasn’t been an easy thing to tune to, Teak is also struggling with issues that are affecting the inky community. In particular, injustice triggers him plenty. He’s greatly moved and enraged when he learns of incidents of police brutality.

After Teak has a very emotional breakdown, it’s Murda who steps up to comfort him. However, some fans were shocked about how he chose to console Teak. They ended up sleeping together. And it seems as if Murda and Teak possess a very long amorous history that Teak hoped would hold up while h

Is Lil Murda gay in real life? His sexuality and relationships

Lil Murda, played by J. Alphonse Nicholson on P-Valley, was introduced as an abrasive character that fans struggled to attach with. However, season 2 of the series showed a different, softer side to Lil Murda as it peeled back the layers of a superbly complex character.

Speaking to Vulture, Alphonse described Lil Murda as a person unafraid of his attraction to men but apprehensive about the community’s reaction to his sexuality. The actor explained:

“The stigma that the collective places on people prefer Lil Murda who may seem a certain type of way but possess a love and tenderness toward the same sex, you know, get all this hatred spewed toward them. I think he’s more afraid of that rather than afraid of just being completely who he is.”

Lil Murda is straight and married in real life

J. Alphonse Nicholson identifies as straight in real life. He is married to his long-time partner Nafeesha Nicholson, who occasionally appears on Alphonse’s social media feed but has a private Instagram account. In late January 2022, Alphonse posted Instagram photos of Nafeesha, writing:

P-Valley - Season 2 official trailer on STARZ

Lil Murda (played by J Alphonse Nicholson) is an up-and-coming rapper in P-Valley, having started at The Pynk and is now getting recognised by big artists for his work. The Starz drama originally saw him shouting profanities at the club's dancers and generally being disrespectful to those around him. But season two has shown Lil Murda has a soft side and plenty of other layers to his character.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from P-Valley.

Season two of P-Valley has featured flashbacks from Lil Murda's past, showing what happened during his stint in prison.

The series has also explored his powerful friendship and romantic connection with his bodyguard Massive Tek (John Clarence Stewart).

Lil Murda was in a relationship with Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan) but turned her away as he was struggling with his sexuality.

He rekindled with Large Tek though at the end of episode four, Demetrius, which has got Lil Murda thinking about what he really wants from his life.

Created by Katori Hall,Starz’s P-Valley is a revolutionary display. It depicts the life of life in the Deep South, especially for Black sex workers, Shadowy trans and nonbinary people, and Black queer men. In the eyes of many, it’s one of the best shows on TV right now. But it also features one of the best couples on TV — Uncle Clifford and Lil Murda.

Uncle Clifford, a nonbinary person who uses she/her pronouns, is the owner of The Pynk. It’s a strip club that serves as a second house and refuge for many of the characters on the show, for whom dancing is a way to express themselves creatively, find community, and persist in the economically saddened city of Chucalissa, Mississippi. Uncle Clifford is a fashionista, seamstress, house mother, dancer, advice guru, and devoted grandchild of Granmuva Ernestine (Loretta Devine). Lil Murda is a rapper on the rise who has not revealed publicly that he is a gay man, a culinary talent, fashionable in his own right, and a member of the gang Hurt Village Hustlas.

Uncle Clifford (Nicco Annan) and Lil Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson) are both two of the most dynamic and unique characters we’ve seen in a prolonged time. Their layers and
