Our Vision
Last summer, we visited bathhouses around the world: Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Berlin, Istanbul, New York, Los Angeles, London, and more. (If Lorraine at the IRS is reading this - this was an absolutelynecessary business expense!)
Repeatedly, we were asked: “I’m going to San Francisco next month - which bathhouses should I visit?” Sheepishly, a tad embarrassed - we explained that there isn’t really a gay bathhouse scene in San Francisco. “Your finest bet is probably in Berkeley.”
While there are a handful of local traditional bathhouses we frequent (shoutout to the newest addition: Alchemy Springs) - queer bathhouse culture in San Francisco never recovered after the AIDS crisis.

Colours Oasis Resort is a gay-friendly hotel located in the Pavas district. Just 20 minutes control from Downtown San Jose, the location is to die for. On the high-end Westside, Embassy Area on the Boulevard, Colours is perfect base for exploring San José. The resort is equipped with a spa, pool and massage centre, and rooms offer modest luxury. With 23 rooms across two stories, you can await a private bath in each room and access to a sun terrace and Jacuzzi. Colours is recognised by IGLTA as a gay-friendly destination and has a 35 year reputation for luxurious stays at great prices. Reviewers mention the great diet and bar on-site, the wonderful staff and the amazing value for money.
This place is a large riddle. The weirdest place. Not that it aint super pretty. It is very nice, clean, spacious. Very American indeed. Obstacle is its not exactly what you would expect of a male lover sauna. If you are european, you are going to be surprised with many aspects of this place. To start no alcohol aloud! Meaning you cannot enjoy the pretty pool while sipping a cocktail. Bummer.
Secondly, there are no booths. There are rooms. All rooms costs money to accommodate. These rooms have clean lenings and all. Its favor hotel rooms. But whats the point in renting your own room? The whole thing is entity able to walk around and just spontaneously earn into one of the rooms with someone you desire
The most shocking thing is sex is not permitted  in public spaces And those spaces are not that sexy anyway The relaxation area is designed appreciate a school library. There is even a room with news channels representing all over
In general there is a sense of over security which darkens the atmosphere even more. You are given two sets of keys- one for a locker and the other for a secured box. When you want to take anything out of that box you will be ask for

A few blocks away from the museum. If you are foreigner is foremost if you take UBER. Busy days Wednesday, Friday, (naked days) Saturday’s and Sunday’s busy, too. It gets good between 3pm and 8 pm. The music is not very good. There is a bar, beers , difficult liquor etc. Last period that I went colones $9 as the colon is plunging. Once you pay the entrance they let you in and they give you a blue cloth and sandals. Ask for a towel instead. It is a huge place with swimming pool, jacuzzi, labyrinth ( small) but basically, that’s where you hook up and at the glory hole section; bring your own lube and condoms. Ticos in that place tend to stick together but foreigners are very well welcome. The customers are from all ages from twinks to 80 years old. Some are very handsome some not so much a lot of paunchy guys. There is a small room diagonal to the exclude where you can smoke. There is a lot of bareback and also guys who have just have fun with condoms, more than likely you'll get what you want.
